Scholarships

With tuition costs outpacing inflation, scholarships play a key role in the ability of many Pi Phis to achieve their dreams of completing their formal education.
Undergraduate Scholarships
Undergraduate scholarships generally range from $1,000 to $10,000 and fall into one of two areas:
Financial Need – In addition to financial need, the following criteria apply:
- Undergraduate Pi Beta Phi member in good standing
- Enrolled full-time for the entire academic year of the scholarship award
- 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA (70% for Canadian students), unless otherwise noted
- A record of service to Pi Phi, campus and community
- Some endowed scholarships specify additional qualification criteria such as chapter, residence and academic major requirements
Community Service – The Sign of the Arrow Melissa (SOAM) Scholarship, endowed by the Sign of the Arrow/St. Louis Alumnae Club, offers an up to $10,000 scholarship to an incoming senior for outstanding community service. A 3.1 GPA and full-time enrollment are also required.
Graduate Fellowships
Graduate fellowship awards generally range from $1,500 to $6,500, and are awarded based on financial need as well as the following criteria:
- Dues-paying alumnae of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity
- Full-time enrollment in graduate-level program at an accredited institution
- Graduation no more than four academic years prior to application year
- 3.0 undergraduate/graduate GPA
- Record of service to Pi Phi, campus and community
Alumnae Continuing Education (ACE) Scholarships
ACE scholarships generally range from $1,200 to $1,800, and are awarded based on financial need as well as the following criteria:
- Dues-paying alumnae of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity
- A career-enhancing course of study at a qualified institution (see application)
- Out of school more than two academic years prior to application year
- 3.0 minimum undergraduate/graduate GPA
- A record of service to Pi Phi, campus and community
Arrowmont Scholarships
Pi Beta Phi Foundation offers scholarships to both members and non-members to help supplement the costs of attending classes at Arrowmont® School of Arts and Crafts.
